I don't care where they come from. The school where I am currently employed, the band was subject to slurs, etc on a parade route and began to fight. This was in the 80s. We have NOT participated in ANY parades in Metarie since. Even though this is 2003, many feel it is 1893. I'm sorry! IT AIN'T!

I know what you mean. Our school teams were subjected to some stuff when I was in high school. They need to get real. I can say that we never lowered ourselves to an all out brawl during any of these instances. Their ignorance was their problem.
