My PE teacher always picked the captains of teams from 4 different people -
always! By fourth grade, the rest of us were a little sick of it, and I was delegated to ask him why. He told me that some people were made to be leaders, and others followers.
Years later, I told this story to a boyfriend. His response was priceless: "So you've been spending the rest of your life proving him wrong." Ouch.
But it was VERY sweet when I acheived a measure of fame in my home town, and that same teacher asked me to come speak to his class!
Living well truly IS the best revenge!
