In 1988, the province president came in and lit into us for using teddy bears. "Crowns, crests, white violets and strawberries only!" I still have a bunch of stuff with bears on it from my first year as a Zeta at SFA. I don't know when Theta Eta starting using bunnies. I graduated in 1989 and they weren't using bears or bunnies then or for a couple of years after that.

I have always collected bunnies and didn't find out that they were considered a Zeta thing until a couple of years after college.

It used to be the teddy bear at the beginning of our chapter in Nac but it is to my recollection that Zeta has no official mascot that each chapter picks there own mascot. A very popular one is the bunny but there is no meaning behind this. It's just a popularity. Hope that helped. ZETA LOVE!
