I don't know what it was, but for some reason I didn't care for MTV's remake too much...Maybe not b/c it was modernized, but b/c of the
way it was modernized (like I didn't really connect with it)
. The original (the book), which I read in like 9th grade of High School, was so much better, in my opinion (but maybe that's b/c I've always been sort of a "tortured soul" who feels tings very deeply)...
