I think that -
AOII are the actual Greek letters.
ADPi are not.
If there was a triangle symbol on the keyboard ADPi would probably use the "II" too.
This is probably why we are encouraged to use Alpha Sigs, Alpha Gams etc instead of ASA or AGD.
