Actually, Eisenhower started American involvement in Vietnam. Ever heard of the Battle of Dienbienphu? It was in May 1954, while JFK didn't take office until January 1961. True, the Democrats who were in office during the conflict didn't pull the troops out--but public support of the war was at a high until about 1968, when America finally realized the depths of our involvement in the war. Who was elected then? Nixon. So, the removal of troops and Vietnamization of the war was done under Nixon, but had just as much to do with the fact that the American people were fed up with seeing body bags on the news.
I'm not saying what you believe is right or wrong--you're entitled to your opinion, and I mine. But, if you're going to make blanket statements, it's probably best that you have the correct information.
