I guess we'll agree to disagree.

There are plenty of artists who are on top due to superior management, but the management wouldn't be there if they didn't have the charisma to make them stand out.

Kelly has done plenty of stuff- I have seen her in at least two movies that were very well promoted and she had her solo album.

I donloaded that album. It was boooring and not worth my money.

I downloaded the Beyonce album. It was fiyah and I'm buying it.

They both had the same musical and production talent behind them, the diffrence is that Beyonce wrote hers- and I don't think that Matthew Knowles went to the producers and told them not to make Kelly's stuff good, because that would mean less money for him. She only got played on VH1 for a reason.

As for the color thing, I think that IS one reason that Beyonce is in the spotlight, but I would consider it more of a factor if I felt their main/only audience was black, simple beause I know how WE do. To the white audience we are all "negroes" regardless of tone. It would be a bigger issue to me if she was mixed.
