The short answer is yes, there is a min GPA for recruitment and at some places (at least for us) it is different (slightly) when you're talking a HS GPA (freshman rushing at the start of school) compared to a college GPA (women rushing second semester or later).
There are others on here more versed than me in the rules however who can give more details.........
