I had some in high school and my nails were brittle for about a month. But now - years later - they are fine!! I had an acrylic nail on my big toe for my wedding b/c the nail was split. And the other day I jammed it and ripped -it hurt so bad!! but then yesterday i gently tugged at it and the acyrlic came off!
