I had friends from every group in high school; I honestly tried to be nice to everyone. If anything, I was probably classified as a "jock girl", because I was captain of the tennis team junior and senior year.
I'm pretty lucky that somehow I escaped a stereotype because, to be honest, I swear that the high schools in Pretty in Pink and Some Kind of Wonderful were modeled on MY high school! lol The big factions were known as the "Chaps", the "Burnouts", the "Jocks" and everyone else.
