As a NT greek, I definately think that it's sad what's going on.
On another note however, our school has a very strong anti-greek sentiment. When the article first ran in our paper about the incident, it just focused on the fact that "several" of the participants were members of fraternities, and failed to mention other organizations they were involved in. The incident that happened was not a fraternity event, but something that members of "Wings" did (and not an official event of theirs...Wings is a campus spirit group) The article's title even mentions Wings, and yet most of the article is about how "several" of the people involved are fratnerity men.

In the comments of the article, "Joe D." asked why the other organizations that they are involved in weren't mentioned, and someone else wrote that that information "wasn't relevant to the situation"
I don't see how a fraternity affiliation is relevant to the situation if they were all members of Wings that took part in it.. but that's just my opinion
Our newspaper will pretty much print anything and everything negative about greeks, and maybe a small paragraph about the stuff Greeks do that is positive, and that's a shame
