I was about to meet up with a few friends in the downtown area during the summer of '02. I passed by where the WTC one stood and saw my old neighbor (I used to live a few minutes from the late WTC) and the World Financial Center. I closed my eyes for a second and visualized the Twin Towers standing tall. When I open my eyes, I saw a vacuous space and nearly cried. I went home soon afterwards, couldn't handle it.

A few weeks before my would meeting, we were flew from O'Hare to LaGuardia with United Airlines. When we were flying over this space where the WTC once stood, a flight attendant pointed it out to us and I thought about nothing except for the colleagues he lost that day as well as the other victims of that tragic day.
