Well it's like any other school in which you have to apply. They have this initial survey that you have to fill out. It has a few questions regarding what you'd be interested in getting a degree or certification in. Once you fill it out, Kaplan send you an information packet w/ a course guide and other info. They also send you an email saying that they've received your paperwork and that an admissions counselor will contact you.
The admissions counselor will contact you in regards to setting up a phone interview. It's a really informal interview (at least mine was). They just want to make sure about your interests and if you are really serious about taking classes. They also give you a spiel about the college, what they offer, etc, etc. It was about an hour conversation. The counselor explains all the steps you will need to take in order to become enrolled. It's a pretty easy process. The only thing I didn't get was the fact that they wanted a copy of my high school diploma. It was weird b/c I have a Bachelors degree. Why they wanted to see a h.s. diploma when i have a college degree is beyond me.
So from there, they tell you everything that you have to do. It didn't take long to complete all the requirements...maybe like a week or two. If you are getting loans, they process everything really quickly. I knew my loan package w/in a day! It was really cool.
Anyway, let me know if you have any questions about it.
