last day of recruitment was so hard for me. i was filled with emotion that i couldnt let the new girls see all weekend. i had to deal with some crying girls who werent happy with their bids and that was hard. then the rho chis did reveal. we had our letters on under our rho chi letters. everyone guessed i was agd or adpi so it shocked everyone that i wasnt them. when i pulled off my letters everyone started to scream.........all the sig kap girls were happy i was in their chapter. i did our sign where we put our thumbs together, our pointer fingers like a heart, our middle fingers together like a triangle and the other two are free to represent dove wings. then we were the first ones to run out from the union and go to our chapter. we were singing "sigma kappa sigma kappa we love you........" i started to cry, because i was filled with emotions. i was happy cuz i was back and we got quality girls and sad for my girls who didnt get the chapter they wanted. i couldnt stop crying for 10 min, i felt like such a baby. then we took the all sorority picture
so we got qouta+3!!!! i am so happy for my girls. this year is the first year we got quota plus in all the years we have been on campus. dont get me wrong we always get quota or snap bid to quota, but this year we did such a great job. our tshirts were pink and maroon cap sleeves. they said in the front "sweet home sigma kappa....bid day 2003" and then on the back said "if you think im cute wait till you see my sisters!" we also got maroon bandanas w/ lavender sigma kappa letters on it. we all went to this restaurant called memphis barbq and had a great time. we took a lot of pictures and hopefully i will post one when i get the film developed. so my long rush thread is over finally. until next year........one heart one way.........."whos the best sorority at u...n...l...v!!!!!"
