33girl, when Congress initially encouraged/forced the states to raise it to 21, Louisiana was the last state that resisted (by turning down federal highway funds). However, it did eventually cave, and the drinking age is 21 there as everywhere.
Now does this mean you're going to get carded in the French Quarter? I wouldn't worry too much about it.
