I'm a little late, but I haven't seen my Fraternity yet.

Alpha Tau Omega was born on September 11th, 1865, after the Civil War, by three young men at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. The Fraternity celebrates its 138th anniversary in two days!

Tennessee Beta Tau was founded Feb. 28, 1894 at Union University, then named Southwest Baptist University, in Jackson, TN.

If you want to get picky, we should be Tennessee Iota, which was founded Nov. 15, 1867 when Union was located in Murfreesboro, TN. Union University, in Murfreesboro, closed in 1873 and later merged with Southwest Baptist University in 1875. I assume we got a different chapter name because the university was called Southwest Baptist at the time. Oh well, it's still a part of our history.
