Ok ladies I don't want to be one to come on here and complain about recruitment because I am so excited for it!!! Our Formal Recruitment is Sept. 15th through the 19th.
Anyway if you read the "rush is over" thread you can see I posted on how happy my chapter is because 50 women have signed up! If that really is the number to go through than quota will be 25!! (only one other national besides us.
)
My school has always been a somewhat Greek Friendly campus. We don't have that big of a system but we are friends with everyone on campus. What is really cool this year is the first day of school was only last thursday and on thursday and friday we kept getting all these ladies telling us how they remembered getting something in the mail about us and are planning to turn in their apps. soon. Woo Hoo for us because this is a really good response. Except today....
Here is my rant. I gave this flyer today to this girl that was all smiling at me as she walked up the stairs to the quad. And I said, "Hi! Here's a flyer about the two National Sororities on campus" She was all "Thanks" (kinda in a mocking way) and then she crumples up the flyer right in front of me and starts laughing!!!!!!
I have never heard of this happening at my school and it made me so angry. I said to her: "you could of just said no thank you" Oh man though I was so pissed! I know there are people out there that hate greeks but that was so rude.
ok I feel so much better now...
I guess I just needed to share my yucky flyer passing out experience with all of you.
Anyone else have any stories about meanie heads like this girl on my campus. Oh yeah I go to a small school, so I know i'll see her again..I hope she realizes she is now forever dubbed "flyer Girl"
