Way back in the day when I went through rush at GSU, I was cut heavily by three of the four sororities. The only one who invited me back was AOII -- but I didn't go back. I was told that the sororities at GSU would "never give a bid to a black girl", and even though AOII invited me back to second round, I let that bad advice affect my decision.
Ultimately, I'm happy to be an Alpha Phi (of course I am! ) but to hear this news coming from my alma mater just sends chills up my spine.
Congratulations to all of the new AOIIs at GSU - you were a great group back in the late 80s, and apparently you're still a fantastic group!
Fraternally,

Wow! To hear that from someone else makes me even happier to be an AOII. Thank you. We have an APhi chapter here, and they are great ladies. I actually work with one of their advisors---she cracks me up!

Oh, I have a sister who laughs when I'm happy.
I have a sister who cries when I'm blue.
I know that she'll be there if ever I need her.
I know that our friendship is true.
