I called home almost every day the whole way through college. I'm married now and in graduate school (far from home), and I still talk to my mom almost every single day! Yes, my mom has had to hear a lot of tearful calls and I know my troubles often kept her up at night, but we are so close now! I ended up loving college, but even when I was really happy, I couldn't wait to share everything with my parents.
College is such an exciting time.
