The fundemental issue here isn't whether or not people are obeying the terms of service, it's about how some people get away with breaking the rules while others can't. And no, Hootie, you weren't a moderator when UFpike came into the scene under his first screen name. OTW-I have no problem whether or not people get banned or have their posts deleted for breaking rules. But rules SHOULD apply to everyone. And you're wrong about it being public. All public boards that I have been on do have moderators, there are rules to abide by. Being a public message board does not mean a free for all, as you put it, but instead a board anyone can join. And hootie, the famous " or else" threat was not made in your fourm. It was made in chit chat, a forum of which you have no say so. By making a comment like that you easily imply to others that you have a say as to whether or not something negative ( ex: banning) can happen to anyone.

Blaine, thanks for not taking it personally. I'm not coming down on you, I just used you as an example. Some people just think it's ironic that you and UFpike fought all the time and he was banned after you became a moderator, some of us know about the votes that take place. I'm sure you know I'm not pro-ufpike, it's just easy for me to see how it could happen to anyone who crosses an elitest on GC.
