I hope you all don't mind, but I felt compelled to reply to this topic. My mother is an AKA and has been since 1976. I was always brought up around AKA's. Like Kat said, I love my mother and her sorors deeply, but I just couldn't find it in my heart to follow in her footsteps. To her it didn't matter as long as I did what was in my heart. I took that advice and began doing research on my own and found what was right for me. She was very supportive in my quest for Delta and even after she is still supportive. Although I am getting flack from her sorors, I still love them anyway!!

I think that's what being greek is all about, being able to love and respect one another no matter what organization you are part of. That's just my $19.13 worth.
