This is too funny, because I say this all the time. In fact,I just used this phrase today when speaking about my boss.
As a born and bred Mississipian
(plus educated in Kentucky) I can definitely say that I miss the South and will probably move back when I'm older. Things I miss:
- Of course sweet tea (and not having to ask "is this sweetened?")
- The FOOD! In the South, soul food and southern food are the same thing!
and don't get me started on grits...
- The people. Sorry to stereotype, but people are friendlier down South.
- Etiquette. The only place I know where a girl (sorry, young lady) can still attends charm school.
Ahhhh, memories.
