There has not been an African-American woman go through Recruitment at Ole Miss since Fall of 1997. The young lady went Phi Mu. Her father was the then basketball coach at Ole Miss. Her older brother was a member of Sigma Chi at Ole Miss. We have had some Asian women go through rush, and they usually pledge in one of the nine houses. However, as far as I know this year, there are no African-American women. The NPHC is very strong at Ole Miss and most African-American women join those groups. There is a white male who is a member of Phi Beta Sigma at Ole Miss.
