Good question. My answer is "no." Alpha Gamma Delta is very clear about what is appropriate badge attire and what isn't. If I'm going to be wearing anything Alpha Gam related--especially my Badge--then I want to be looking my very best. Badge attire shows the proper decorum and respect for what is the most visible symbol of membership.
I totally agree that the world is getting more and more casual. But to me, getting to pin your Badge on your suit is an excellent incentive to dress up!
(This is also coming from someone who works in an office environment where there is a frequent need to dress up--and therefore gets to wear her Badge quite often and proudly!
