I don't know if I can really say anything because I don't consider myself a "veteran" because I've only been to one, but I do remember chatting with an ADPi once and she mentioned that during their last convention (their 150th birthday), their HQ encouraged husbands and family and they had special activities and tours for them while the ADPis had their business meetings and special meals. I know some went golfing and sightseeing. Whether or not AGD will have things similar to that, I don't know.

But I do know that it'll be a busy busy time. I remember my wake up call was at 7 just so I could have some breakfast and be at the business meeting by 8, before I knew it, it was time for lunch...a short break, another meeting, then the beautiful dinner. We'd break out at around 10ish, but no one really goes to bed at that time because then we'd be always going around trying to meet more sisters. Then you factor in the times you're shopping at the Rose Garden and/or Burr Patt. Trust me when I say that you can't go in there just once! You get tired and little worn out, but the feeling of being there is so, so awesome.

I know AGD is encouraging chapter reunions at the Centennial, so you might want to take that into consideration too. It'll be such a special time.

Thankfully I got to stay an extra day so I was able to do a little sightseeing and shopping in Atlanta, and I'm glad I did!
