Way late on clearing up some questions about the recruitment process. Although all members are encouraged to maximize their options, "suicide" at LSU still takes place. It is unfortunate. A few girls that did this this year had to be released from recruitment. Had they put down all houses they preffed with, they would have been placed in a chapter.
To echo what Moxie said about panhellenic love, I am so impressed with the way in which LSU is moving. It is great to see so many different sororities taking party pics together. It just goes to show you that the stereotypes aren't true and that members of every house can get along. "No matter the letter, we're all Greek together!"
I believe that mosts sororities here have pool parties. It isn't organized through LSU, it is usually at an alum or an actives house. This year was the first year that they required everyone to sleep over at the sorority house. Imagine 230 girls in one house!! Our party pics guy was loving it!
