I have a small mouth and they had a hard time getting my wisdom teeth out, so I started to wake up near the end of it. They had to put me back under. I thought the worst part was that I couldn't work for a week because I was so weak. Oh, and the sides of my lips were sore from the rubbing. To keep the ice packs to my face as I slept right after I got home, my mother put them in 2 pillow cases and tied them around my head. I'm sure I looked funny, but it allowed me to sleep ok.

Also, right before they put me under, after I had left my mother, the doctor tells me I might have permanent numbness in my lower jaw. I freaked out and almost started crying. But then they put the mask on me, and all was good. I turned out fine.

A day or two after I had mine taken out, I was by myself in the house. I heard my dog barking, so I went outside to see what it was. In the field (maybe 10 feet away) there was a ground chuck. My dog stopped barking right after I got out there. I talked to the ground chuck for a bit, then I told it to go away and it did right then. I swear I could communicate with it. In reality, I probably was hallucinating. So be careful for the first few days. I don't remember what medication I was on, but it was interesting!

Good luck with the surgery. It really isn't that bad if you do what they tell you to do. I'm sure you will be fine. Just make sure you have some good movies in the house to watch, and some good books too.
