Hi, I will be one of the first people who can honestly say, I worked hard for my 3.7 gpa and I still manage to have a good time with my friends. I do not go out to clubs, because I do not like that scene, but I am active in Student Government, I was just named the 2001-2002 Editor of Sports for the Southern University DIGEST, I am active in the Theatre Arts Department, I volunteer at the Baton Rouge School for Visual and Performing Arts, I am always the first person my friends call when they need help with anything academic or social, and I am always the first person in line for the sorority of my interest events. Therefore I am able to be involved and active on campus while getting something done at the same time.
I think people who work hard for their grades are the only people who should be proud of what they do; whether you have a 2.5 or a 4.0. I have a friend who makes above average grades 3.0gpa, but she could do better, she will tell you she does enough to get by, and she wonders why my parents and her parents rave over my grades, because I try harder. This may sound nerdish but, I like making good grades.
I know this is long but I just had to say my piece.
Have a nice day.

welcome to GC.
I graduated out of that "school", so they have named it, huh?
