Titus (1999), based on Shakespeare's earliest play, "Titus Andronicus", and starring Anthony Hopkins, was seriously messed. Really disturbing, I found it hard to finish, but it had amazing cinematography. If you can stomach it, check it out just to say you did.

Warning: really disturbing rape scene, if you don't see the actual act, the before and after is more than enough.

I agree, Titus (both the play and the movie) was waaay disturbing. The movie was quite an interesting interpretation of the play, though-especially the mix of modern and ancient Roman times.
