Man, I was in SERIOUS GC withdrawal...

Okay, so here's the story from the beginning:

From the moment I met Jill, I knew she would be an amazing friend. When I found out that she had almost the exact same experience during rush as I did, I was convinced that I would introduce her to Alpha Phi to see if she could see herself in our family.

Boy, she wasn't hard to convince at ALL!

Fast forward to this week: Jill met with one of the other alums, and they hit it off well. I e-mailed the woman she met with to get her opinion, and she gave her the thumbs up. After that meeting, the alum chapter president called Jill and arranged a meeting for Sunday. I didn't want to miss out on this meeting, so I tagged along.

Everything was GREAT - Jill was personable, knowledgeable, and showed her great committment to Alpha Phi's ideals, philanthropy, and spirit of sisterhood. When she went to the washroom, I pulled the pres aside and asked her what she thought. She told me to get the ball rolling and have Jill fill out her paperwork.

Jill and I went back to my house after meeting with the prez. I told her I had something for her, but wouldn't tell her what it was. When I gave her the paperwork, she just sat there. CATATONIC. No expression on her face. I stood there tapping my foot. "WELL?!? Don't you know what that is? What this means?!" She says "It says "Alumnae Initiation Application..." "DUH! What do you think that means?" No response from J. "GO AHEAD AND FILL IT OUT, SILLY!"

So she filled it out, and it really wasn't until we discussed payment options that it started to sink in... nearly 10 minutes later. She left my place in a total daze, still not convinced that this had actually happened for her. She told me that she screamed in the car on the way home.

I love my new sister, but dayum, she's kinda slow on the uptake, dontcha think?
