I think the history with all organizations are pretty cool. Take for example how many Beta's separated by the North/South border in the civil war, wore their Beta badges on the brims of their hats, and during the war, their lives were spared by fellow Beta's (on the enemy side) because their brotherhood was recognized and was stronger than the war. I wonder how many whistled our call back then?

Don't get me wrong, I still whistle out our call when I am in the middle of the woods deer hunting, just in case a fellow Beta happens to be wandering 1/2 mile into the woods... ha ha

PS, next time you are at your national conventions or leadership conference, keep your ears open for strange whistles. When there are 1,000 Beta's in Miami, OH for our convention, people are whistling all the time; and its usually the 80-90 year old alumns.
