This may not be the answer you want, because honestly there's just no way to know why someone was dropped. It could be lots of things--class standing and GPA could play into it, lack of recs could play into it--especially if she didn't have any, maybe for some reason she didn't connect with the chapters at MSU during recruitment parties. She also may have decided that sorority life wasn't for her and withdrew instead of being dropped. I wish I could just say, "Oh, this is why..." but it would only be speculation and not fact. I hope she's dealing well with whatever may have happened in her recruitment.

If she's still interested in sorority life, then she may wish to check with the Greek Advisor or her Recruitment Counselor and ask if any chapters are having COR events (but I don't know how many MSU chapters have open spots after formal recruitment, if any.) Also, there is the AOII colonization at MSU this fall she could look into.
