Why is it that for everything IHQ does there is always a group of people that take so much joy in saying it sucks?
I do agree that we have alot of dead chapters, but I also know that we have taken great strides to not only open alot of chapters back up again with great success under our new method, and I also know that we have taken huge steps in supporting the chapters that we do have. The idea that the few people on staff in Indianapolis can take care of the needs of every chapter we have is insane. The issue was brought up and a new (and extremely promising plan) has been developed and implemented.
We as Fraters are not in competition with IHQ, rather we are on the same team, so if what they are putting out isn't what the Grand Chapter wants, it is then our RESPONSIBILITY to let them know, and if you listen to them, they are ALWAYS asking what we want to see. It's up to all of us to tell them.
Anyone can point out flaws in anything, but once the flaws are known about, what will be done? If all we do is say what's wrong on a website that might never be looked at by people who can change things, then they will never know to change them and nothing will be done. But if you bring your dislike of certain things to the people who can do something about them, then we can make progress.
So I challenge you, if you don't like it or anything else that is going on, try to understand the thinking behind it, and if it's still not in the Fraternity's best interests, take some constructive steps to change it.
