Seriously, though, as yet another "benefit" of deregulation, the Energy Secretary was on the AM news shows yesterday. After the big government investigation and Congressional hearings and all of the private companies finish sorting thru the data, the government will probably force a lot of upgrades. Mr. Secretary made it abundantly clear, though, that the American consumers would bear the cost. Of course the taxpayers will help pay for the upgrade of infrastructure in Iraq.
