Example.. at my school we have 10 sororities. On the second day you are only allowed to go to 7 houses. Say that I cut 3 houses. Then I find out that 3 other houses cut me, but not the ones that I cut. That would only leave me with 4 houses. I am assuming that I will find out where I am cut before I make cuts. I mean, it would only be logical right?

At UCF, it will work this way. At round 1, you will go to all of the houses. Early the next morning, several hours before the parties begin, you will meet with your Recruitment Counselor and PNM group, and you will receive a print out and a scan-tron. The print out will reveal which houses you are invited back to, and you may choose which ones you would like to go back to or which ones you would like to cut (you must choose up to the max number of houses-- that is, if there are 4 parties and 6 houses have invited you back, you can't opt to go to only 2 parties. You must choose 4). You will do this each day, all the way down to the morning of Prefs. Your counselor will explain this in more detail at Greek Forum and be an objective sounding board for you each step of the way through recruitment!
Fun Fact: One year (the year I went through recruitment!), instead of doing it this way, the PNM's ranked the houses in the order of their interest at the end of each day. The next morning, the PNM preferences would be cross-referenced with the sorority party invites, and you were invited back based on your matches. I like the new way better because you get to see ALL the houses who invited you back!
