oh my gosh...if i didnt have to give my dumb little speal i would be so happy...
at applebee's we HAVE to suggest a soft drink AND a specific bar drink...then we HAVE to suggest two specific appitizers...and then i ususally tell them my name...as in "and my name is noreen so if you need anything at all please let me know" and then at the end of dinner we have to suggest at the very least one dessert AND one after dinner drink....its a little riduculous and you cant skip any of it cause we have stupid secret shoppers...
i always carry a table's check with me...as soon as i put their order in, i print a check and write on it and carry it with me so if they want it at any given point, i can give it to them right then...
and ew...if you have to ask me for a refill, then i am not doing my job...i usually get you one before you can even think of asking me unless the customer is almost done, then i might ask.
