ok...i guess my original point when i started this rant was that when i give excellant service and the food is good, then why is $2.00 on $31.00 appropiate (yes that was one of my actual tips from last night)?
that's what makes me
example:
i worked tues night from 3:45 - 9:00....my sales were $577.00 and i made $100 after tip out (i think i tipped out $10-$12)...very good night for what i worked
last night i worked from 5:15 - 1:30am and my sales were $810.00 and i made $110 after tip out (i tipped out $18 i think)...very very very bad...
now, if the service is bad and the food was so-so...i tip accordingly BUT always at least 15%. i think if i ever eat out at a buffet (rarely), we usually tip like a dollar per person or something like that..its been awhile since i hit up the local buffets!! lol
so...yeah...i dont know...just my $0.02 (wonders if that is 20%
