Hello. I'm an alumnus of Alpha Phi Omega. Alpha Phi Omega is a national co-ed community service fraternity. We aren't NIC, in fact most of our founders were both in a social fraternity and Alpha Phi Omega. Baird's considers us a service greek within the grouping of recognition societies (which is everything that isn't social, honorary or professional)
We used to have scouting experience as a requirement, so a lot of the groups interested in having an Alpha PHi Omega chapter formed a local for the purpose of affiliating. Now we have a more organized extension process, though I do know of some service groups that have affiliated.
Looking for service locals and/or co-ed locals particularly I guess...
