Wow, it was probably about a day and a half into a visit he had made (we were friends for a while, then he came to visit...only as friends). He woke me up to tell me that he loved me and that I was the person with whom he wanted to spend the rest of his life. That was three and a half years ago. Engagement and wedding plans are forthcoming; it just makes more financial sense for us to stay unmarried until I get out of grad school.
