I'm a speech pathology major as well! I also have an interest in the deaf community. My hope is that by the time I graduate in 2004 I'll be somewhat fluent in ASL.

I don't know about the schools where you are rushing, but at Butler the SPL major is pretty rare. It'll not only show that you are compassionate and dedicated to choose such a career, but it'll also give you something to talk about! I've found that a lot of people I've met have been touched in some way or another by a SLP!
