Indy might be close to the population center of the country, though. As you probably know, there's a whole lot of land out here in the West with nobody living on it. And, the East is pretty population intensive.
Let's be realistic, though. The real reason is the dollar savings due to tax incentives.
The the way, the Delt HQ is in an Indy suburb. It was just opened earlier this summer. It's the first time we've actually owned our own HQ -- always rented before.

I actually watched your HQ being built this summer. It's on the road where my former employers live. I just have to say that your HQ turned out very well! I think it looks splendid!
I really like living in Indy. I've seen a few HQ around the area. Makes me proud! LOL
