Most of the communities are pretty decent, but on the whole they don't look like what was shown last night. The people are MUCH nicer in real life, too! 
I especially feel bad for the people who actually live in CHINO because their city was portrayed HORRIBLY. Chino does NOT look like this overall. I have lots of friends who grew up in great parts of this city.

In terms of Chino, they were probably playing up the 909 stereotype that I've seen. I also have lived in Orange County for three years. From what I saw of the show, it definitely had a slant toward the Newport/Corona del Mar world.
I probably won't watch regularly because I was already close to 30 during the Beverly Hills 90210/Melrose Place heyday.
