My Big:
Well, I went through recruitment and she had Prefed me w/o knowing me... she knew my brother and had heard rave reviews of me all week so she wanted me. Then I got a bid and she was my BidDay Buddy... she's also the PledgeMom [who shouldn't get a lil sis], but she kept taking me out EVERY week, even though we have 3 different 'week' sisters, she kept taking me out and giving me presents. And then on Big/Lil Revelation, BAM... she was my big. Apparently she went around the hall and thretened death to anyone who took me...lol
My Lil:
I met her the spring break before she rushed, she was dating a good friend of mine in Lambda Chi. Skip ahead to rush week 2001, I see her and run up to her and hug her. But I never got to talk to her formally through rush. just kinda see in passing and smile and wave. Then during the 3rd night I saw her on the Lambda chi hall, and we weren't allowed to talk to each other, so I kept kinda looking from one room across the hall to the room she was in... we kept catching each others eyes, and smiling and looking away. Then she got in!!! I didn't get her the FIRST week because I had been in charge of pickin up the girls and runing them back to where the chapter was. But I got her second week [i thretened the chapter so I could have her 2nd week]. From Day 1 that she got in the sorority, we went out to eat every wednesday... so during the week of BigLil and we're giving clues as to who we are... I'm like, i have blonde hair, I'm from the south [yeah, i have brown hair and i'm from NJ], I have a boyfriend in FarmHouse [yeah... no boyfriend]... totally threw her off... but she STILL kinda knew it was me. So that wednesday, we're eatting and i'm asking if she likes her presents,and she smiles at me, and goes on gushing about them... then i get this uneasy look on my face and she's like 'whats wrong?'. I said, 'man, i dont know how to say this... i'm not your big sis'. Her face dropped.. but kinda smiled again and was like 'o c'mon.... really?'. So i make this entire story about how Amanda [pledge mom] had screwed everyone up, NO one got hwo they wanted, BUT I KNEW she'd love her big sis once she got to know her. Well, my lil was quiet the rest of the lunch, and we parted ways to go to class. WELL, I found out later from her boyfriend [who i'd told] that she came over that night crying and so upset, and she wanted me so bad.. etc etc. Her boyfriend even got a few other brothers to be like, 'man i'm sorry lindsey, I heard what amanda did... don't be mad at her. I know you'll like your big sis'. I felt kinda bad... but it was awesome on bidday when she found out it was me... she started crying and jumping up and down. It was just awesome!
