Wasn't that picture the cover of Janet? If so, it had much more relevance being on what was then the foremost magazine of the music world, than what Britney Spears being on the cover of Elle does. After all, it was her first release in years, and she had completely changed her image.

I think that line needs to be repeated.

I suspected long ago that the Christian virgin thing was a ploy on the part of her amazing PR staff to improve her image. They knew that she would inevitably get painted as a white trash harlot, and had to make her appeal to middle America in some way. I'm sure they just didn't expect her to be in a serious relationship before her 15 minutes were up.

ETA: I just saw the picture. That's it? Not too scandalous, but you can bet Wal-Mart (no doubt her biggest sales outlet) won't be selling it.
