I think she should DEFINATELY talk to the guy b/c something is lacking in their relationship. Maybe she should ask something like WHY he doesn't show her affection?
It could be something as simple as he's just extremely tired after work or something like that and is just ready to go to sleep once he gets home.
If he didn't love her, would he be proposing? (Maybe that's something she should think about)
What she is doing is just wrong plain & simple.
I think he should definatley know about it, but I don't really know if it's your place to let him in on the secret.
