I agree 100%. The problem is coming up with a process that allows you to pass on the traditions and history of your organization without putting that organization in finacial ruin. I believe that there are ways, unfortunately, many of the national chapters of our BGLOS don't see it this way, and they have implemented this travesty called MIP. For the record, I came in through MIP, and I am very apt to speak on the evils of this proces. It forces those who seek the full knowledge of what it is to be in that particular organization to seek out that information in other ways that MIP doesn't cover. Unfortunately it drives this process underground, and the number of hazing incidents hasn't decreased, but increased since it's inception. For every person on here who hates the process, GET ACTIVE!!!

Let the national chapter know. The only way to change things is from a grass roots movement of the membership. The leaders of each organization SHOULD serve at the will of the membership. This isn't always the case, and sometimes the leaders of an organization are moved by more than the best interest of the organization. But untill the membership speaks up, things will continue as they have.
