My mom has implants. She had so much tumorous tissue in her breasts that they had to do a double mastectomy in order to do the pathology to find out if it was cancerous. So there was so much crap in there, they ended up removing everything!

They left her "open" on the table while they sent her tissues to the lab to get checked and since it was all benign, they put implants in to reconstruct, as she had asked if the results were negative. Had the results been positive, they would have stripped her lymph nodes and closed her up with no implants and started chemo, so it is good that there was no cancer...

Anyway, she started out as I think an A...She is now a C...so she used it to her benefit!

And in THIS case, yes, it is covered by insurance.

Oh, and one of my best friends had a reduction and my ex-boyfriend had lipo! HA! On his man-boobs!
