Nope, not so legal anymore. Congress has authorized the RIAA to force Internet service providers to turn over personal information of individual users. So for example if you use Verizon for internet servce, the RIAA goes to Verizon and says "give me all the people who are downloading music" and according to the new law Verizon has to do it.
