this happened to my car window once. the motor wasn't broken, but the window somehow slipped off the automatic track that it runs on to push it up and down (if the window is still making a motorized noise, but nothing is happening this is probably the case). My dad knows something about cars so he was able to fix it like this: he took the paneling off the inside of the door (not as bad as it sounds) to reveal the inside mechanical junk, he the window and put it back on the track and then screwed the panel back on. all it takes is a screwdriver usually, but from then on I NEVER put my window all the way down again (it was a pain to get my dad down and I too live in a city where that same car was stolen!). if you know anybody whose ok with cars they can probably fix it, or you might have to take it some place. I can't imagine it would cost much, unless the motor is blown... I don't know about that. hope that helps, good luck!!!!!
