Yes, yes it does. With diabetes there are risks of certain complications, like eye problems, liver, kidney, heart, circulation problems. Having diabetes is a risk factor for insurance companies. Therefore, if I
were to get insurance my premiums would be very high, and that's assuming I can find a company that would carry me.
Fortunately I have an insurance plan with my school, so my prescriptions are partially covered. However as soon as I graduate I am SOL. Unless I can find a full time job that will give me benefits.
